Hi, I'm Casey, Community Engagement Manager at Apply Yourself

Hi, I’m Victoria! I’m a SAT and ACT coach here at Apply Yourself Global.

I’m a 3rd-year computer engineering student at the University of Waterloo. Through internships and my school’s co-op program, I have worked in software development roles at various companies, including IBM and Sun Life. My teaching experience has come from a wide variety of domains. I have taught piano and music theory, coached beginner to advanced students in taekwondo, tutored high school-level math, and more. I also love mentoring others and volunteer my time teaching others how to code.

I took both the SAT and ACT not too long ago and scored 1600 on the SAT and 35 on the ACT, both on my first attempt. As a coach, I hope to share my knowledge of the test content and the test-taking skills I picked up with you. My teaching style involves working with each student to figure out a study plan that works best for them, regularly benchmarking to track progress, and tackling the specific topics they struggle most with. Something I also like to focus on as a coach is the style of the test itself and test-taking strategies.

In my free time, you can find me playing the piano, learning new languages, and attending hackathons. I look forward to working with you to help you succeed!
